PNW’s Students for Justice in Palestine Friday will co-sponsor fasts for Gaza in solidarity with the people of Palestine and observers of Ramadan. The events will take place at the Islamic Center of Michigan City at 1606 N, 500 E, in Michigan City, and Lliana Islamic Association at 9608 Spring St., in Highland. Both events will begin at dusk when people break the Ramadan fast. Instead, they will donate the money saved from their meal for humanitarian aid to Gaza. All donations will be used to provide medical supplies, food, water and support to teams on the ground assisting displaced people in Gaza. Donations can be made at piousprojects.org/campaign/2680.
