For Perla Nolasco, the TRIO office offers more than support resources. It’s a safe haven where she can focus or unwind from an exhausting day 

“My favorite place to chill at on campus is the TRIO Office in CLO,” said Nolasco, a freshman Childhood Development major. “What makes it comfortable is the environment and the people in the office. It’s a very welcoming space” 

What makes the office so welcoming is the people, from the administrative assistants to advisors, who are always available for helping students.

Nolasco said it is a unique atmosphere and a regular stop.

“I usually come in here to focus on my homework when I have some,” Nolasco said. “If not, I socialize with whoever is in the office.”

Between classes, Nolasco usually stops by the Trio Office to de-stress and catch up with friends.

“I usually go to the office in-between my classes when I need to relax,” she said. ” If I have free time and nothing else going on, I’m in the office It’s like my safe place.

“What makes the office welcoming for me is being greeted with positive energy every time i walk in,” said Nolasco. “It has a pretty spacious layout and multiple desks with computers so you can do homework. It’s just perfect”
