Thirty local law enforcement officials participated in a four-day workshop focused on assessing and processing digital evidence. Over four Fridays, Center for Cybersecurity’s faculty, staff and graduate students led sessions on examining low and high-profile Internet of Things device forensics, database basics, smartphone forensics and analysis of smartphone forensics over digital networks. Participants got hands-on experience to better understand how digital evidence and artifacts can first be extracted from consumer-grade technology and then analyzed for telling evidence.
