Resolutions gone awry-Jade Morgan
It didn’t take long for Jade Moran to break her New Year’s resolution to eat better.
Moran, a junior majoring in Human and Family Development, gave in to eating what was handy, not necessarily what was healthy.
“I gave into my cravings,” she said.
“Though the resolution felt like something I should do, I broke [it] because it was easier just to eat whatever is around,” said Moran. “It’s so easy just to go out and eat than just cooking a hearty dinner for yourself.”
She is still hopeful that she will be able to pick up where she left off.
“I chose this resolution because I want to feel better,” said Moran. “The less pasta or carbs I eat the better I feel and the more weight I lose.”
She admits that she fell short of her goal.
“I’m honestly giving myself a pass,” she said. “Everyone is human and makes mistakes sometimes.
“I just wasn’t strict with them this year,” said Moran. “I have not completely given up on my resolution. I plan to eat better in general and treat my body with respect.”
