Izavian Feliciano’s perfect date is going to Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf in Chicago, a place where
he’s already taken his girlfriend of two years.
Feliciano, a sophomore Electrical Engineering Technology student, said he wanted to find a place that was romantic and intimate.
Bavette’s Bar is both. He calls it a jazzy, dimly lit restaurant with a smaller lower parlor downstairs. It was not his first choice, but Feliciano is glad he went there.
“I wanted that night to actually mean something and feel different, not just be another dinner,” Feliciano said. “I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where we should go.”
“It was perfect, mainly because it was with her, and I wanted her to feel special,” he said. “I put a lot of thought into the night.”
After dinner, Feliciano and his girlfriend went to City Mini Golf, also located in Chicago. He admits they both like miniature golf.
“It added this playful part that balanced everything out, and we could enjoy that fun moment,” he said.
To cap the evening, Feliciano and his girlfriend went back to her place, ate some dessert and enjoyed the remainder of their evening watching the popular 2004 rom-com, “The Notebook”.
