The university has established a search committee to help identify the next College of Business dean, with the goal of conducting interviews with eight to 10 candidates around Thanksgiving. The university hopes to interview final candidates on campus in early December. Provost Marie Mora said she hopes the new Dean will be named by early January and will be able to start next spring. Meanwhile, Kwangsoo Park, director of the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is serving as interim dean.
he Division II Management Council on Wednesday approved noncontroversial legislation to permit student-athletes and athletics department staff members to bet on professional sports. The rule change required approval by all three divisions and will be effective Nov. 1. It applies to any sports betting activities that occur on or after Nov. 1.
