Omar Valenzuela would be really annoyed if he only had 24 hours to live.
“I am currently 18 so I would not be satisfied if my life ended tomorrow,” said the freshman Meteorology major. “I have not done … most of the stuff that I had planned to do with my life, so no I couldn’t be completely satisfied.”
He said there is so much to do.
“If I was going to die tomorrow, I would go out in nature and explore,” said Valenzuela. “I would explore hiking routes, swim in rivers, go biking and just try to not get lost.
“Just being out in nature and witnessing the sunset and the stars go by for the last time would be peaceful,” he said. “I would want to be with one of my college friends because he introduced me to a lot of my hobbies … like going out in nature.”
The outdoors are important to Valenzuela.
“It is … a long-term goal of mine to do all these things like exploring nature as much as I can,” he said. “So, if I only had one more day to do these things I would ditch everything and try to do every single one of them before I died.”
After considering his mortality, Valenzuela thought about the importance of getting on with life.
“As life goes, there is limited time,” he said “It is up to you to decide whether or not you have the options and … ambition to pursue the goals that you want before your life is over. You are supposed to try all of the things you want to do and you shouldn’t wait for your last day to try them.
“You don’t want to end up old aged and be regretful for not trying,” said Valenzuela.
