For Kyle Pryor, a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering, family and his property mean everything. On his last day on earth he would want to be surrounded by his loved ones and back at home, make lasting memories in those 24 hours.
“When I first wake up I’d probably start with some coffee,” said Pryor. The caffeine would help prepare him for a long, adventurous day.
Pryor can already imagine it, being back at his house in Illinois and enjoying the great outdoors around him.
Sipping his coffee, he would sit outside his Illinois home and look at his pond.
“My happy place is my property, it has a lot on it,” Pryor said. “I would just spend some time in nature … listening to the birds chirp,”
Later, Pryor said he would throw a big party and “invite all my friends and family that I care about.”
Rap music would be prominent in the mix.
“I love Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar,” said Pryor. “‘Homecoming’ by Kanye would be on the playlist for sure.”
That would lead to the perfect setting.
“Just spending time with friends and family and enjoying the moment,” he said.
While everyone’s lives must come to an end, legacies are what people can be remembered for.
“I think my legacy will be caring for others,” he said.
