For the second year, Dylan Deyoung is PNW’s Wii bowling champion.
The sophomore Business Management major won the Student Life Wii Bowling Tournament earlier this month.
“My favorite part of the event … besides winning …was getting to know people and having a good time playing,” said Deyoung.
Twelve students competed in the tournament, the second at PNW.
Many were attracted by the chance to relieve some of the stress of midterms.
“[It was] fun to engage with others, and a nice piece of entertainment,” said Nikko Mccaulay, a freshman majoring in Biology. He won his first game in the bowling bracket and said that he got some tips about the game from his fiancé who often plays Wii with him.
Sraavani Tellapragada, a sophomore majoring in Computer and Information Technology, said her favorite part of the competition was “getting together with random people.” She said she wanted to try something new.
The Bowling Tournament is the first of what several video game competitions Student Life plans.
