Danish Akbar is going to Florida for spring break.
A freshman majoring in Engineering, Akbar is eager for the change.
“I look forward to our family vacation in Miami,” he said. “It’s a time for us to bond and enjoy various family activities together.”
Most importantly, Akbar plans to not think about school.
“I make sure to avoid school projects and knock out assignments before spring break,” he said. “I focus on submitting assignments and staying ahead, rather than obsessing over grades.
“It allows me to fully relax and recharge without the looming pressure of deadlines,” said Akbar. “Spring break serves as a much-needed break from academic stress.”
For Akbar, homework and studying often means favorite pastimes like going to the gym often take a backseat. However, during spring break he can stay home and enjoy time with family and friends.
“I spend time with friends during the day and enjoy family moments at night,” he said. “After everyone’s asleep, I get some personal time to relax and unwind.”
That personal time includes a dedicated skincare routine, which Akbar said helps him feel rejuvenated.
“I try to keep up with my six-to-nine -step skincare routine during my personal time,” he said. “It’s a ritual that I often fall behind on during the school year.”
Wherever he is, Akbar looks forward to a change from classroom time.
“It’s fun to step out of my comfort zone and indulge in new experiences,” he said. “This break allows me to gain a different perspective.”
