The Gabis Arboretum has many ways for people to get involved, including classes, events and opportunities to volunteer. 

“Gabis Arboretum offers a variety of classes and activities,” said Peyton Lindquist, the arboretum’s events coordinator. “We have different classes that offer information on wildlife, guided hikes, gardening, astronomy events in coordination with Purdue Northwest astronomy professors and we offer different certification classes, such as Indiana Master Naturalist.” 

The arboretum also offers opportunities to volunteer as a gardener, arboretum steward, model train operator and other roles.
