Anshul Singhi is starting 2025 with a specific focus on achieving his personal and professional goals.
For Anshul, a sophomore Business Management major, this year is about building habits that promote consistency and growth. His New Year’s resolutions include dedicating weekly effort to his studies, securing a summer internship in business and maintaining a healthier lifestyle by working out three times a week.
“My main resolution is to stay consistent with my schoolwork,” he said. “Last year, I had weeks where I let things pile up, and it was stressful to catch up, especially towards the end of the year with final exams.”
Anshul is also focused on landing a business-related summer internship.
“I’ve started working on my resume and working on relevant projects to prepare,” he said. “It’s a bit overwhelming to start, but I believe that this process [will] help me land an internship and contribute to my professional career.”
Finally, Anshul said he wants to prioritize his health.
“Working out three times a week has already made a difference,” he said. “I feel more focused and productive, and it’s becoming something I look forward to doing throughout this year.”
Anshul hopes this year’s resolutions do better than last year’s.
“I wanted to stop eating out so much, but fast food was just more convenient and there was not much time to spend cooking,” he said. “This year, I plan to start small by learning a few easy recipes and managing my time effectively.”
On the other hand, Anshul said at least one of last year’s resolutions became a routine he plans to continue.
“I started writing to-do lists every morning, and it helped me finish my daily tasks better,” he said. “That’s one habit I’ll stick with this year.”
